Level 2

Grades: 9-12

Credit: one

Prerequisite: Level 1

Students continue to expand oral communication skills, and acquire more vocabulary and knowledge of more complex structure. They participate in sustained conversations and present cultural projects orally in groups and individually. They read longer passages on familiar topics and cultural material and write short, directed compositions. They listen to recordings of native speakers. Knowledge of culture is expanded through the study of basic values of the culture, as well as the history and present day life. Students will be assessed frequently to evaluate their spontaneous oral and written proficiency.
