Prerequisite: Level 3

Students will continue their study of the language for the purpose of active communication as they learn to use and comprehend the language in formal and conversational settings. Students will learn to describe, discuss, summarize, and defend their opinions on cultural subjects both orally and in writing. They will broaden their appreciation of foreign culture through the study of history, art and music, films, cultural readings, and the use of the Internet. They review basic structure and begin the study of short stories by native authors.
