Grades: 11-12 Credits: 0.5

Prerequisites:
Introductory Computer Science and Linear Algebra or permission of Mathematics Division Manager and instructor

This course is an upper-level college course normally taken by mathematics, computer science and some engineering majors along with other interested students.  The subject material concerns how computers and other devices solve mathematical problems from calculus and linear algebra.  This often involves approximations and generates questions of efficiency, accuracy, and analysis of algorithms.  Dual enrollment at GMU is available for this course, but this option is not required.
