Depth Perception--Linear Perspective
Because of Linear Perspective, the second person in the left picture seems much larger than they do in the second picture. However the size of the second person in both pictures is identical.

The Ame's Room
If you assume that the room is regularly shaped, you misperceive this image. The boy appears larger than he really is because of a viewing point unique to the trapezoidal shape of the room.
