Most animals, including humans, have the ability to change in response to the individual events that occur during their lifetimes. This capacity results from the simple fact that the experiences that an animal has will modify its nervous system so that it can later behave differently as a result of its experience. These changes make it possible for organisms to learn and then to retain what has been learned in a form that can be expressed at a later time. Learning refers to the process of acquiring new information, and memory refers to the persistence of learning as stored information. During the past few decades, an enormous amount of information has been gathered on learning and memory processes, and currently memory is an active topic for psychological and biological research. Questions about memory can be usefully addressed at any of several of different analysis. The research on this site will address the different factors that can affect how memory is being stored. Three major factors are language i.e verbal communications specifically prose being stored in memory versus mathematical and numerical units, motivation and emotions i.e mood factors contribution to the changing the memory, and perception or visual attributes that can interpret different the visual images being stored.
